Job Summary:


Responsible for performing MRI procedures to acquire high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare staff to deliver accurate imaging studies following established protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Position patients on examining tables and place appropriate coils close to areas of interest in accordance with radiologist specifications.
  
• Demonstrate and operate communication microphones to maintain patient-technologist dialogue throughout the procedure.
  
• Enter patient data, including history, anatomical targets, and positioning details into the computer system.
  
• Select and modify scan sequences, adjusting transmitters and receivers to optimize image quality.
  
• Monitor patient safety and comfort via control room and closed-circuit TV during scans.
  
• Review images for clarity and diagnostic quality, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  
• Document images and procedural details accurately, including patient and scan information.
  
• Alert staff about security protocols related to metal objects around MRI equipment.
  
• Adhere to safety regulations and handle emergent situations appropriately.
  
• Perform additional duties as assigned to maintain operational efficiency.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Possess 1-3 years’ experience as an MRI Technician.
  
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.
  
• Exhibit excellent communication skills.
  
• Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
  
• Able to read and interpret technical documents and procedural instructions.
  
• Hold validation through an accredited Radiology Program, NJ State RT License, and MR Certification.
  
• Maintain current BLS Certification.
