Job Summary:


The Med Surg RN is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role requires collaboration with healthcare teams and adherence to facility protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
  
• Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
  
• Document patient care activities accurately within the electronic medical record system.
  
• Educate patients and families on illness management and post-discharge care.
  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate effective patient care.
  
• Maintain compliance with all safety, infection control, and hospital policies.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Hold current RN licensure in North Carolina with proof of certification.
  
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of clinical experience in a Med Surg or Telemetry setting.
  
• Possess current BLS and ACLS (AHA only) certifications.
  
• Have prior experience with IV starts and emergency procedures.
  
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts with flexibility for weekends and holidays.
  
• Comply with Tier 1 travel and RTO policies, with references available upon request.
