Job Summary:
The Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including echocardiograms and vascular imaging, to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. They operate specialized ultrasound equipment, interpret images, and collaborate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic information.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of internal structures.
• Analyze and interpret ultrasound images to identify abnormalities.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of procedures and findings.
• Follow safety protocols related to ionizing radiation and patient care standards.
• Ensure equipment calibration and proper maintenance are performed routinely.

Qualifications:

• Hold a credential as a registered sonographer or ultrasound technologist, certified by ARRT or a relevant certifying body.
• Graduate of an accredited program in diagnostic medical sonography or equivalent.
• Possess valid licensure as required by the State of Montana and the Montana Board of Radiologic Technologists.
• Demonstrate knowledge of patient age-specific care and imaging techniques.
• Exhibit strong technical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
