Job Description

Job Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist I/II / Advanced Speech-Language Pathologist I/II provides comprehensive speech and language therapy services to a predominantly Native American population. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients across various age groups with developmental, cognitive, emotional, mental, and physical disabilities through medically based therapy interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients by conducting assessments, interpreting test results, and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
  • Administer therapy services including speech, language, swallowing, cognitive, voice, and feeding interventions tailored to patient needs.
  • Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and discharge plans accurately in electronic health records.
  • Instruct patients, families, and staff on therapy techniques and home programs to reinforce therapeutic goals.
  • Provide specialty services such as VFSS, FEES, pediatric and geriatric clinics, and assistive technology evaluations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support continuous quality improvement, safety, and risk management efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
  • Hold valid ASHA certification of clinical competence in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Possess a current, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathology license from any U.S. state, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
  • Maintain current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
