Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery (LDRP) nurse with strong L&D and mother-baby experience. This float position requires flexibility to work between L&D and Mother Baby units, supporting the healthcare team in providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients in both L&D and Mother Baby units.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, monitor fetal and maternal vitals, and manage labor and delivery processes.
• Administer medications, coordinate with physicians, and assist with procedures during labor and postpartum.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain compliance with certifications and facility policies, including handling float assignments effectively.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 1 year of recent L&D and Mother Baby nursing experience.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, CPI (or MAB in lieu of CPI), NIH, AWHONN, and NRP certifications.
• License required: TN state license or multi-state compact license, active and verifiable via Nursys.
• Demonstrate ability to adapt quickly to different units and manage diverse clinical scenarios.
• Comfortable working with a prison population and following strict facility protocols.
