Job Summary:

The OR RN Circulator is responsible for providing specialized nursing care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes. The role requires close collaboration with surgical teams and adherence to hospital protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and facilitate surgical procedures by serving as the primary circulator in the OR.
• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.
• Monitor patient vital signs and overall condition throughout surgery to detect any immediate issues.
• Document surgical procedures, observations, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly.
• Comply with all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards, including active ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Complete orientation and annual skill assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio RN license or an active compact RN license for Ohio.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months recent, permanent OR experience, including scrub skills preferred.
• Maintain active certifications in BLS and ACLS with no pending issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments.
• Successfully pass background checks and drug screening, including nicotine status if applicable.
• Be able to complete all required modules and onboarding within designated timeframes.
