Job Summary:
Provides essential dental hygiene services including prophylaxis, patient education, and radiographic procedures under minimal supervision. Supports dental staff and students while ensuring compliance with organizational values and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform oral prophylaxis by removing deposits and stains and polishing teeth.
• Apply topical fluoride treatments to patients' teeth.
• Expose, develop, and interpret radiographs for diagnostic purposes.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and dietary counseling.
• Review medical and dental histories and record vital signs, including blood pressure.
• Manage appointment scheduling and chart patient care details utilizing Epic Wisdom system.

Qualifications:

• Hold an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene.
• Licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in South Carolina.
• No prior experience required; 1 year preferred.
• Proficient in EPIC EMR system and radiographic procedures.
• Ability to perform patient education with excellent interpersonal skills.
