Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist I performs diagnostic radiographic examinations with minimal supervision, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety. This role involves operating radiographic equipment, preparing patients, and maintaining accurate records to support diagnostic needs.

Responsibilities:

• Position patients and select technical parameters to produce diagnostic-quality radiographs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Operate imaging equipment efficiently, including portable x-ray units in various clinical settings.
• Restrict radiation exposure using cones and collimators, safeguarding unaffected areas of the patient.
• Develop x-ray films utilizing available processing methods, accurately labeling and filing images.
• Prepare and assist in administering radiopaque contrast media under physician supervision.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the radiology suite, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete an accredited Radiologic Technology program, with clinical and A.R.R.T. certification requirements met.
• Possess a valid New Jersey State Radiologic License.
• Be able to pass the National Registry examination and meet licensure requirements.
• Demonstrate proficiency in patient positioning and radiation safety protocols.
