Job Description
Job Summary:
Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging procedures with high technical proficiency to produce quality images that support accurate medical diagnoses. Ensure patient comfort, safety, and compliance with all regulatory standards throughout the imaging process.
Responsibilities:
- Specialize in conducting nuclear medicine imaging studies to obtain diagnostic information.
- Obtain patient histories, explain procedures, and address concerns to foster trust and comfort.
- Operate and maintain nuclear imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes and medications within scope, adhering to prescribed protocols.
- Complete quality assurance checks and follow radiation safety practices to minimize exposure.
- Document all procedures, maintain logs, and ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an AMA-accredited nuclear medicine program.
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or NMTCB certification.
- Possess a valid Michigan license (if applicable) with supporting documentation.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating nuclear imaging equipment and safety practices.
- Display strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
