Job Summary:


Provides specialized physical therapy services to evaluate, plan, and implement treatment plans for patients. Delegates tasks to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides while ensuring compliance with standards, physician orders, and hospital policies.



Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients’ functional status through formal and informal testing of skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular systems.
• Develop and customize goal-specific treatment plans based on assessment data and patient tolerance.
• Submit and update treatment plans, ensuring alignment with physician approvals and modifying as patient conditions evolve.
• Coordinate treatment schedules with patients, families, and clinical staff, ensuring appropriate frequency and duration.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding their conditions, prognosis, treatment options, and rationale for interventions.
  
  
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
• Hold an active Michigan State License as a Physical Therapist.
• Possess current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of recent outpatient, acute care, or relevant physical therapy experience.
• Complete a skills checklist pertinent to physical therapy within the past year.
• Provide two supervisory reference forms dated within the last two years.
• Willing to work in a facility outside a 50-mile radius of the candidate’s permanent address.
