Job Description
TactStaff is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students within partnering school districts in the Easton, Maryland area for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity focused primarily on providing services within the general education setting while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement and inclusion.
Many districts in the Easton area emphasize inclusive practices and least restrictive environment (LRE) support models for students receiving special education services.

- W2 employment
- Pay Range: $50–55/hour depending on experience and assignment details
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and academic support for students with IEPs within inclusive classroom environments
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff to support student success
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum, instructional methods, and classroom accommodations to meet diverse student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, progress monitoring, and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Maintain compliant and timely special education documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Support students with academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and executive functioning needs across educational settings
Requirements
- Active Maryland Special Education Teaching certification or ability to obtain prior to start
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong collaboration, classroom management, and communication skills
- Ability to work onsite full-time throughout the school year
