Job Description

Job Summary:
Conducts nuclear medicine procedures by preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic imaging and treatment. Operates specialized imaging equipment to visualize organ and tissue function, providing critical data for diagnosis and research. Works collaboratively in hospital and clinic environments to ensure patient safety and accurate results.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety protocols and procedural guidelines.
  • Operate advanced nuclear medicine equipment to capture diagnostic images efficiently.
  • Explain procedures to patients, addressing questions and ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Document procedures, doses, and patient data accurately and thoroughly.
  • Collaborate with physicians to interpret imaging results and support patient care plans.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT).
  • Have cardiac imaging experience.
  • Hold valid BLS certification (AHA).
  • Certified by NMTCB.
  • Ability to float between multiple office locations in Michigan.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety and patient handling procedures.
