Job Summary:

The CVOR Registered Nurse provides specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries. This role requires on-call availability and prior operating room experience with a focus on cardiovascular procedures, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care within a busy surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for cardiovascular surgery, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Assist surgical teams during procedures, maintaining sterile techniques and equipment.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes promptly.
• Document perioperative activities accurately using Meditech electronic health records.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Adhere to facility policies on floating, dress code, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Texas; temporary licenses are not accepted.
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience, specifically in day surgery or cardiovascular services.
• Must hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-focused, professional attitude.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including on-call hours, with a flexible schedule.
