Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, with immediate availability to start within the next week. The role involves providing specialized cardiac care in a busy trauma level 1 hospital environment, offering consistent weekend shifts and opportunities to float to similar units.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac and trauma patients in a stepdown setting.
• Float to related units as needed, maintaining flexibility and clinical competence.
• Complete all documentation accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow established protocols for post-operative care, particularly for cardiac surgery patients.

Qualifications:

• Hold 2+ years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a similar unit.
• Be licensed and have the license on file at the time of submission.
• Possess AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; PCCN preferred.
• Demonstrate recent large trauma level 1 experience within the past year.
• Have Epic EMR experience from the past 2 years.
• Possess cardiothoracic, vascular, and post-op (heart open/closed) experience.
