Job Description
Job Summary:
A Cath Lab Nurse proficient in diagnostic catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions, structural heart procedures, and electrophysiology is needed to support vascular and cardiac interventions. The role involves working in a high-acuity environment with specific technical and clinical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Administer patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and ECG during interventions.
- Collaborate with cardiology and electrophysiology teams to ensure procedural success.
- Document clinical procedures accurately in the electronic health record using Epic or similar systems.
- Assist with lab setup, equipment preparation, and maintaining sterile environment.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide resuscitative care as needed.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active California RN license.
- Possess BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications.
- Have at least 2 years of recent Cath Lab nursing experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in diagnostic cath, PCI, structural heart, and electrophysiology procedures.
- Be available for shift work including 4x10 hour days with variable start times and weekend call.
- Complete required modules during orientation, with experience in Epic charting preferred.
