Educational Diagnostician (Ed Diag)
Lubbock, TX
26/27 School Year
TactStaff EDU is actively connecting with certified Educational Diagnosticians for anticipated opportunities across the Lubbock area and surrounding communities. This is an opportunity to secure a high-impact school-based role early in a high-demand market.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct comprehensive Full Individual and Initial Evaluations (FIIE) in accordance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) and federal guidelines
- Interpret assessment data to determine eligibility for special education services
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
- Develop clear, compliant, and timely evaluation reports
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, TEA regulations, and district policies
- Support reevaluations, data reviews, and eligibility updates
- Master’s degree in Educational Diagnostics, Special Education, or a related field
- Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification (REQUIRED)
- Certification must be issued by the Texas Education Agency
- Previous experience conducting FIIEs and writing evaluation reports in Texas schools strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, ARD processes, and Texas special education compliance
- Ability to manage timelines and maintain accurate documentation
- Experience working in diverse school settings is a plus
- Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification (issued by TEA)
- Master’s degree (required for certification eligibility)
- Completion of an approved Educator Preparation Program (EPP)
