ICU MEDICAL RN Start Date: 4/1 Shift: 4x12 Nights Ratios: 2:1, 1:1, 1:2 Years of Experience REQ: This is a busy and fast-paced ICU, closer to the intensity of a Level 1 trauma center, so we are looking for Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience. Nurses must be ready to hit the ground running. Preferably, candidates will have 2 years of experience at their original training facility. Minimum one year of Critical Care Experience is required. Management of ventriculostomy, EVD, and ICP. Nursing care of patients with non-traumatic ICH, non-traumatic SAH, seizures. Nursing care of patients post tPA, thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling, carotid artery stenting and intra-cranial stenting. Management of blood pressure abnormalities with parenteral vasoactive agents. Completion of complex neurological assessments/scales. Epic Experience REQ? 1 year of Epic experience is required. First-Timers Accepted: NO, and please confirm legacy travelers have successfully completed 2-3 contracts with no issues. Weekend REQ: TBD Certs REQ: BLS, ACLS, TNCC or TCAR, NIHSS. Skills REQ: Tele Interpretation, Ventilators, IV Insertion, PICC Lines; Preferred Sklls: High Freq Vents/Oscillators, PA Lines, Dialysis, ICP Monitoring Is on-call REQ? No Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, float between SICU, MICU, and ER holding (will only be working within their skillset as it is an inpatient holding area). Open to accommodating block schedule? No, we are looking for a flexible candidate. Locals Accepted: Yes Pending License Accepted: Yes RTO Restrictions: No Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: GIB, ETOH withdraw, DKA, Sepsis, Covid, ARDS, CHF, CKD, AKI, Donor , Post cardiac arrest, Psychiatric symptoms and MSOF Any special procedure done on the unit? Insertion of Chest tubes, central lines, PICCS, bedside tracheostomy, Keo tube placment, IO insertion, Codes, Masive transfusion team, back up for Hospital Cardiac Arrest Team, intubation, and post cardiac arrest cooling catheter placement, Nitric Oxide, cardiac cooling pads, and removal of femoral and radial sheaths. Common Equipment: Pa Catheters, right and left Impellla, ventilators, Cheeta, CRRT, and IABP, and Zoll cooling catheter, and Artic Sun pads.
