Cath Lab Tech

Description:

• Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment for each procedure.
• Carries out medical/surgical asepsis and demonstrates proper sterile technique during procedures.
• Cross trains to all primary functions involved with a case (scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring) for all procedures.
• Explains procedure to patient and gives verbal assurances as necessary.
• Notifies physician or other nursing personnel when patient complains of pain or discomfort.
• Always maintains an orderly and sterile instrument table for the purpose of efficiency and follows department standard set up.
• Adults to Geriatrics - Cath Lab tech - Diagnostic cath, PCI,
• Orbital atherectomy, IABP, Impella, device implants,
• No EP studies, no ablations - 6-15 patients/day

• Radiology Credential from ARRT
• 2 years preferred - Will consider 1 year experience
• Registered Cardio Interventional Specialist (RCIS)
• UNIT SYSTEMS: EPIC, CSI, GE discovery
•  RCIS, RCES or ARRT CV, BCLS, ACLS, Scrub experience,
• Balloon Angioplasty, PCI, Ablations, Stents, Thrombectomy,
• Impella insertions, Right heart catherizations, Hemodynamic monitoring, & Rhythm interpretation/EKGse
