Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the PCU/IMC/Stepdown unit, providing specialized care for patients requiring close monitoring and management of complex conditions. This role involves acute patient assessment, collaboration with medical teams, and ensuring high-quality, safe care delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
• Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Manage cardiac drips, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care.
• Document clinical interventions accurately within the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Float within skillsets to support neighboring units as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols including isolation precautions and airway management.

Qualifications:

• Active New York Single State RN license is required; no pending licenses accepted.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in telemetry or stepdown care.
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS must be valid and current.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical situations and multi-task efficiently.
