Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for winter 13- or 18-week contracts in a mixed acuity telemetry unit. Candidates must have demonstrated expertise in advanced care, including experienced with high-level drips and step-down care, to provide high-quality patient monitoring and treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for advanced care and step-down patients in a mixed acuity telemetry setting.
• Read, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and EKG strips accurately.
• Collaborate within team nursing or primary nursing models to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to all step-down and advanced care units as needed, supporting nursing teams across multiple campuses.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including passing online EKG tele competency and proper fit testing for N95 masks.
• Maintain compliance with certifications including BLS and ACLS, and obtain NIHN if required.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in any state or a compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a large hospital setting, preferred level 1 or 2 trauma.
• Proven ability to interpret EKG strips and respond appropriately.
• Demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, with experience in advanced care or step-down units.
• Willing to work night shifts, including every other weekend and holidays.
• Ability to float to multiple units and pass a tele competency assessment.
