Job Summary:
The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across a range of ages and acuity levels. The role involves executing clinical assessments, developing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer holistic patient care by assessing and diagnosing health conditions in accordance with nursing standards.
• Develop, implement, and regularly revise individualized care plans to address patient needs.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing activities to support staff, ensuring adherence to care protocols.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, and manage patients with cardiac devices such as Impella and balloon pumps.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions, contributing to shared decision-making and quality improvement initiatives.
• Document patient care and clinical interventions accurately within electronic health records, including Epic.

Qualifications:

• Hold a minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience in an ICU setting.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC).
• Have an active State License to practice as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota.
• Demonstrate experience with fresh open-heart surgery patients and adult/geriatric populations.
• Be proficient in interpretation of cardiac rhythms and familiar with Impella and balloon pump management.
• Maintain current skills checklist pertinent to ICU nursing and provide two supervisory references.
