Job Summary:
Provide critical care as a travel RN in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), delivering specialized nursing services to critically ill patients. This role requires adapting to high-acuity environments, ensuring patient safety, and supporting clinical team efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced nursing care to MICU patients, including ventilator management and bedside procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions continuously, utilizing ICU equipment such as cardiac output monitors and ventilators.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document treatments and patient responses accurately in Meditech systems.
• Perform procedures like central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, and cardioversion.
• Adhere to hospital and unit policies on dress code, cleanliness, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold active RN license valid in Texas; temporary licenses will not be accepted.
• Possess at least 2 years of MICU or MSICU experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with ICU equipment and procedures.
• Be BLS and ACLS certified; CCRN preferred.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
• Be able to work flexible shifts including weekends and rotating schedules.
