Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care to patients in the ICU, delivering high-level nursing interventions and support for patients with complex medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgical needs. This travel RN role emphasizes collaboration within a dynamic, high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced nursing care to ICU patients, including monitoring vital signs and managing life-support equipment.
• Perform bedside procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, arterial and central line placements, and GI scopes.
• Respond effectively to patient emergencies, ensuring timely intervention and escalation when necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient data accurately in the Meditech EMR system, adhering to unit policies and procedures.
• Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Current Colorado RN license with a minimum of 1 year of recent ICU hospital experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required; NIH preferred.
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR system is highly desirable.
• Proven competency in caring for post-operative open-heart and ECMO patients.
• Ability to perform bedside procedures and titrate drips with precision.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent teamwork skills.
