Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a focus on rehabilitation and neurological patients. Administer treatments, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments, including laboratory result interpretation and vital signs monitoring.
• Administer medications, perform medication reconciliation, and update patient histories regarding allergies and health questionnaires.
• Conduct dressing changes and set up aseptic/sterile procedures.
• Collect and label specimens such as throat swabs, urine (UA clean catch), and perform phlebotomy.
• Manage telephone triage, handle pharmacy calls, and process patient refill requests.
• Provide specialized care for patients with neurological diagnoses, CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, and post-op surgical recovery in an inpatient rehab setting.

Qualifications:

• Must possess an active RN license and pass the EMR/Epic training requirements.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care rehab experience; all travelers must have prior travel experience.
• Strong knowledge of clinical procedures including laboratory interpretation, medication reconciliation, and specimen collection.
• Ability to pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts.
• Must submit third-party education verification; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted.
• Must have a current driver’s license and adhere to travel compliance policies.
