Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients, ensuring safe and effective delivery processes. Demonstrates clinical expertise, independent judgment, and dedication to patient-centered care within a fast-paced obstetric setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for obstetric patients using the nursing process.
• Perform clinical skills specific to labor and delivery, including assessments, monitoring, and interventions.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to all Standards of Nursing Practice, ensuring age-appropriate care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and gynecological post-op patients.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and documentation efficiently to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Support hospital policies relating to confidentiality, patient rights, and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current, valid RN license from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of one year of acute care experience as an RN, preferably within obstetrics.
• Successfully complete general nursing and unit-specific orientation.
• Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, and STABLE certifications.
• Be vaccinated for COVID-19 in compliance with state mandate.
