Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapy Assistant provides therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. The role involves assisting in the development and implementation of treatment plans to improve patients' functional abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment plans designed by the occupational therapist to enhance patient recovery.
• Monitor and document patients' progress throughout sessions.
• Educate patients and their families on therapy goals and exercises to support their independence.
• Prepare therapy equipment and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collaborate with the therapy team to modify interventions as needed for patient improvement.

Qualifications:

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• Proven experience assisting in therapy settings, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow treatment protocols and adapt to patient needs.
• Strong organizational skills to document progress accurately.
