Job Summary:
Seeking a registered nurse with valid NY license to provide high-quality care in a busy MedSurg/Tele unit. This role involves managing a diverse patient population with a focus on acute cardiovascular and surgical cases during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to patients with conditions such as CHF, acute MI, arrhythmias, and post-device care.
• Monitor and assess patient status, responding promptly to clinical changes.
• Document patient information accurately using EPIC electronic charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Float to various departments as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and compliance regulations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NY nursing license in hand.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent MedSurg/Tele experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC charting software.
• Maintain current BLS and NIHSS certifications, with NIHSS included in application.
• Be able to manage patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 in a high-volume unit.
• Be willing to work 4x12 night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with every other weekend.
