Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the IMCU/PCU provides specialized patient care for adults with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. This role involves managing complex cases in a 64-bed unit with a focus on neuro and step-down care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions following established protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments, including high-acuity interventions such as chest tubes, A-lines, and pacers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Use advanced cardiac and neuro assessment skills to promptly identify patient deterioration.
• Maintain documentation in Epic EMR, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Float between units as needed and adhere to unit-specific policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Active NY RN license and all required licenses verification.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in IMCU/PCU or critical care nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Valid Driver’s license with address matching demographics and documentation of travel experience.
• Knowledge of specialty equipment including pacers, chest tubes, A-lines, and ventilators.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM).
