Job Summary:
The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in maintaining a sterile environment, anticipating the needs of the surgical team, and ensuring all instruments and supplies are prepared and handled properly to facilitate smooth operative procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all supplies are available and in proper working condition.
• Assist with technical tasks during surgeries, including passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
• Support the surgical team by following proper patient care handoff protocols and ensuring safety standards are upheld.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control policies throughout procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or Military Surgical Technologist training program.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of asepsis, instrumentation, sutures, and surgical procedures.
• Possess proficiency in operating technical equipment used in surgical environments.
• Hold a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in team settings.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching up to 50 lbs frequently.
