Job Summary:
Radiology Medical Assistant for CT unit responsible for supporting patient exams and assisting radiology staff in a busy teaching facility. The role involves patient care, workflow management, and administrative duties, with an emphasis on weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist radiology techs, nurses, and radiologists in conducting patient exams, ensuring smooth workflow and patient safety.
• Manage clerical tasks such as scheduling, processing exams, and preparing documentation for audits.
• Answer phones, stock supplies, and support patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Perform IV insertions as required and ensure adherence to all safety and regulatory standards.
• Utilize departmental computer systems, including EPIC, for documentation and patient management.
• Support team efforts to maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked exam environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or Radiology Medical Assistant in a similar-sized teaching facility.
• Proficiency in starting IVs in relevant modalities.
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to work consistently on weekends, including Fridays through Sundays.
• Reliable transportation with all-season or snow tires, particularly from November to April.
