Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist specializes in providing advanced respiratory care for pediatric, neonatal, and infant patients in a Level 4 NICU and pediatric cardiac unit. This role involves delivering critical respiratory support, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage respiratory therapies for pediatric, neonatal, and infant patients, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Utilize advanced equipment and techniques, including ventilators and monitoring devices, to support patient respiratory function.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient assessments and treatment outcomes accurately within electronic health records.
• Maintain compliance with certification and licensing requirements, including RRT, BLS, PALS, and neonatal certifications.
• Participate in on-call duties and adapt to facility needs as required, including potential hospital floating within scope.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RRT certification, with current South Carolina RRT license or pending license with proof of application.
• Possess at least 2 years of pediatric, neonatal, and infant respiratory care experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic electronic health records and related clinical systems.
• Certified in BLS and PALS, with neonatal certification preferred.
• Have experience working in high-acuity neonatal and pediatric intensive care environments.
• Ability to work night shifts within a 3x12 schedule and participate in holiday rotations.
