Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist will provide specialized care to pediatric, neonatal, and infant patients in a Level 4 NICU setting with a focus on pediatrics and cardiac for a teaching hospital. This role involves delivering respiratory treatments, ensuring patient stability, and supporting clinical teams within an advanced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor respiratory therapy treatments for pediatric, neonatal, and infant patients.
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of interventions and patient progress in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with all certification, licensing, and safety standards, including NBRC, RRT, BLS, PALS, and SC RCP certifications.
• Adapt to floating within scope to meet facility needs, depending on experience and staffing requirements.
• Participate in emergency response as needed during hurricane season and adhere to facility protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RRT certification, BLS, PALS, and NRPC credentials.
• Possess at least 2 years of pediatric, neonatal, and infant respiratory therapy experience.
• Be licensed as an RRT in South Carolina, with license in hand prior to start.
• Demonstrate EPIC experience and familiarity with pediatric critical care procedures.
• Maintain valid current certifications and licenses, including South Carolina RCP if applicable.
• Be willing to work 3x12-hour day shifts and participate in holiday rotation.
