Job Summary:
The PAT RN specializes in pre-operative and perioperative nursing care within the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP setting. This role involves comprehensive patient assessments, ensuring safety, and supporting surgical procedures, with a focus on patient education and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments of patients across all age groups, ensuring appropriate pre- and post-operative care.
• Deliver competent clinical care supporting patient safety, wound care, and procedure preparation.
• Document all patient interactions, assessments, and education accurately and in compliance with policies.
• Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to policies, identifying opportunities for growth, and maintaining a high standard of practice.
• Respond courteously to patients, families, and team members, fostering a patient-centered environment.
• Follow safety protocols, including Universal Protocol and patient identification procedures, to minimize risk.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Possess at least 2 years of critical care experience.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures, patient reactions, and perioperative care.
• Ability to evaluate patient understanding and assist with education on surgical processes.
