Job Summary:
Seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse for a float pool position. The role involves floating across various pediatric units, providing specialized care to critically ill children and newborns.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional nursing care in PICU, NICU, peds medsurg, peds PACU, peds ED, and postpartum/mother-baby units.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and adhere to facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years PICU experience.
• Demonstrate experience with NICU and pediatric float pools.
• Hold valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Must possess or obtain a VA license prior to start date.
• Be comfortable working with complex pediatric cases and tight schedules.
