Job Summary:

Provide direct patient care to medical surgical and pediatric patients, ensuring their safety and well-being. Flexibly float between medical surgical and ICU/ED overflow units, adapting to unit needs and patient acuity.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions and respond promptly to their needs.
• Deliver accurate medication administration and maintain thorough documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for patient documentation and order entry.
• Adapt to varying unit requirements, including floating between med/surg units, ICU, and ED overflow.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care experience in medical-surgical and ICU or ED settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC electronic health records.
• Flexibility to work night shifts on a 72-hour bi-weekly schedule.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to float across units and handle diverse patient populations.
