Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to adult patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, focusing on monitoring, patient assessment, and treatment planning. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care tailored to patient acuity levels.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with varying acuity levels in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic status, utilizing advanced equipment such as cardiac monitors and hemodynamic drips.
• Perform procedures including dressing changes, line insertions, chest tube maintenance, and post-operative care.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care using the Meditech system and adhere to bedside shift report protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and ancillary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, policies specific to the unit, and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of recent ICU, PCU, or stepdown experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications are required; NIH and ABLS preferred.
• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Experience with ICU or PCU equipment and procedures, including IV pump operation and line insertions.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
