Job Summary:
This position requires providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, supporting recovery and stabilization. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ physical, mental, and spiritual needs to develop individualized care plans.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions according to established protocols.
• Monitor patient condition and utilize clinical judgment to recognize and report changes promptly.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, procedures, and health maintenance.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment through professional communication and conflict resolution.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records in compliance with institutional standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Possess current CPR/BLS certification.
• Have ACLS certification preferred or required as per unit policy.
• Demonstrate experience with cardiac and respiratory patient populations.
• Show ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, fluctuating acuity environment.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment and professional communication skills.
