Job Summary:


Responsible for preparing tissue samples through cutting and embedding to support diagnostic procedures in a hospital-based histology laboratory. Ensures accurate processing and maintaining quality standards essential for pathology assessments.



Responsibilities:

• Perform tissue cutting and embedding procedures with precision and adherence to laboratory protocols.
  
• Operate and maintain histology laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  
• Follow safety and quality control procedures to maintain specimen integrity.
  
• Document laboratory processes and sample tracking accurately within the lab information system.
  
• Collaborate with pathology team to support diagnostic workflows.
  
• Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and standard operating procedures.
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
• Certified Histotech - HT (ASCP) with valid license prior to start.
  
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume hospital histology laboratory.
  
• Strong knowledge of tissue processing, sectioning, and embedding techniques.
  
• Ability to operate histology equipment and follow safety protocols.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  
• Experience with laboratory information systems, preferably Epic Beaker, is a plus.
