Job Summary:
The Mammography Technician is responsible for performing routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures with a focus on image quality and patient safety. This role requires competency in imaging techniques and adherence to department protocols to support accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors.
• Ensure all radiographic images are correctly labeled according to departmental SOPs.
• Evaluate images for technical acceptability and transmit them to PACS promptly.
• Complete all studies accurately within the IDX system and record patient tracking information diligently.
• Maintain high standards of safety, image quality, and procedural accuracy throughout all screenings.

Qualifications:

• Possess a New York State License in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Demonstrate effective and efficient work performance.
• Maintain MQSA requirements in compliance with industry standards.
• Possess strong attention to detail and patient care skills.
• Show proficiency in radiographic techniques specific to mammography.
