Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC, PCU, or step-down units, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient support and monitor clinical progress.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy treatments following unit protocols and certification requirements.
• Complete advanced oncology courses such as the ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course to qualify for chemotherapy administration.
• Monitor patient responses during treatments, particularly for those receiving vesicant or non-vesicant chemotherapy.
• Educate patients and families about treatment procedures and potential side effects.
• Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with hospital policies.
• Maintain current certifications and participate in ongoing oncology and clinical training.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license.
• Have experience in oncology nursing or related specialty areas.
• Complete or be willing to complete the ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course.
• Possess certification such as OCN or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.
