Job Summary:
Provide skilled nursing care to patients on a long-term antibiotics unit, primarily managing infections such as endocarditis, abscesses, septic arthritis, and osteomyelitis. Deliver comprehensive patient care within a private room setting, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and monitor responses to antibiotic therapies and other treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians to implement and adjust care plans, including medication titrations when applicable.
• Administer medications, vital signs, fingersticks, and assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, assessments, and interventions.
• Oversee and support ancillary staff such as CNAs and aid in coordinating patient care activities.
• Respond effectively to complex behaviors related to substance use and manage escalating situations professionally.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license.
• Demonstrate strong neuro and infection management experience.
• Possess knowledge of cardiac monitoring and telemetry.
• Be comfortable working with patients experiencing substance use issues and withdrawal.
• Display excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
