Job Summary:
Provide specialized physical therapy services to patients within a Level II Trauma Center, contributing to recovery and rehabilitation efforts. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients to determine treatment needs and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Administer therapeutic interventions using advanced equipment and techniques, including adaptive devices and equipment.
• Collaborate with team members, including team conferences and family training sessions, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Adhere to unit guidelines, policies, and safety protocols, including participating in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations.
• Support hospital goals by maintaining a flexible and collaborative approach to patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Physical Therapist license and current BLS certification.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or IRF setting.
• Possess strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills.
• Willingness to work on the IRF unit and support the facility's treatment protocols.
• Ability to efficiently manage patient loads, typically 4 patients/day in IRF and 8-12 in acute care settings.
• Experience with stroke/neuro rehabilitation is preferred.
