Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes through advanced clinical skills and compassionate support.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions thoroughly and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, respond to changes, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize recovery.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC).
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and institutional policies, including smoke-free policies.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with minimum of 18 months MICU experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Valid BLS, ACLS certifications (must be current at submission).
• NIHSS certification required prior to start date.
• Experience with EPIC electronic charting system.
• Ability to float within scope across multiple hospital locations.
• Must be nicotine-free and pass a negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months.
