Job Description
Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Technician is responsible for assisting with specialized imaging procedures within a fast-paced clinical environment. The role involves supporting radiologists and ensuring quality patient care during interventional and special procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced imaging equipment for interventional radiology procedures.
- Assist radiologists during catheterizations, electrophysiology, and other specialized interventions.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning, sterilization, and equipment setup.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including radiation safety and infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient records within authorized health systems.
Qualifications:
- Hold current ARRT certification and Florida State license.
- Possess at least 18 months of experience in interventional radiology or specialized procedures, with 2 years preferred.
- Certified in AHA ACLS and BLS; RCIS certification preferred.
- Demonstrate proficiency in electrophysiology (EP) and catheterization techniques.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to floating across multiple facilities as needed.
- Maintain negative drug screen and nicotine-free status.
