Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing to ICU patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate patient care while adhering to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions continuously to identify urgent needs and prioritize interventions.
• Administer vasoactive and inotrope medications, titrate as prescribed, and monitor patient responses.
• Perform advanced procedures including intubation, central line, arterial line, chest tube, and pacing insertions.
• Document patient care accurately within the Meditech Expanse system during each shift.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including trauma surgeons, respiratory therapists, and mid-level providers.
• Maintain required certifications and stay updated on hospital and department protocols.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid RN license with at least 2 years of ICU experience.
• Demonstrate strong telemetry skills and experience with ventilators such as GE Monitors and Puritan ventilators.
• Have current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Exhibit proficiency in titrating vasoactive medications and managing trauma or open-heart patients.
• Experience with Swan-Ganz catheter placement and temporary pacing is preferred.
• Ability to work 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, for the duration of 13 weeks, with flexible schedule options.
