Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in a hospital setting. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe, effective treatment and support patient needs during scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, medications, and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient responses and vital signs, documenting findings accurately in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and post-discharge care.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other team members to plan and adjust care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and certifications.
• Float to other medical-surgical units as needed to support staffing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in oncology or medical-surgical nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Chemo certification preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to floating within the unit.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
