Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care in the IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit, ensuring patient safety and well-being through adherence to clinical protocols and accurate assessment skills.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and titrate IV drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Nitro, Esmolol, Heparin, and Lasix following physician orders.
• Interpret and document EKG strips, monitor patient rhythms, and respond to abnormal findings.
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and team members to coordinate patient care.
• Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, and update patient charts accurately.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, including BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Adhere to unit-specific orientation and dress code policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of MedSurg Stepdown nursing experience with strong titration skills.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS required.
• Ability to interpret EKG rhythms and perform patient assessments.
• Experience with central monitoring systems and telemetry interpretation.
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
