Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced RN with a valid NY license to provide high-quality care in a high-volume MedSurg/Telemetry unit. This role involves managing complex patient cases, including orthopedics, long-term care, and post-surgical patients, with a focus on patient safety and efficient care delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care in a MedSurg/Telemetry setting, monitoring patient vitals and clinical status.
• Use EPIC charting system to document care accurately and efficiently.
• Facilitate rapid response and code team interventions as needed.
• Manage complex procedures including IV starts, PICC lines, central lines, and wound care.
• Follow isolation precautions and ensure infection control standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY nursing license in hand required.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a MedSurg/Telemetry unit.
• Demonstrated ability to manage 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratios.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications; NIHSS required for submission.
• Proficient in EPIC charting system and telemetry monitoring.
• Experience in managing complex patient diagnoses such as orthopedics, long-term care, and post-surgical recovery.
