Job Summary:

This pediatric float pool RN position involves providing care across various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, peds medsurg, peds PACU, peds ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby. The role requires adaptability to different clinical settings with a focus on pediatric critical care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in different units based on assignment.
• Float between departments, adhering to scope of practice and unit policies.
• Administer medications, treatments, and assessments aligned with patient needs and protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately within the Epic system.
• Follow pediatric care standards and hospital policies, ensuring patient safety at all times.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid state RN license; pending licenses accepted, license must be in-hand before start.
• Have a minimum of 2 years PICU experience and NICU experience.
• Possess current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate previous PICU and NICU float pool experience.
• Be comfortable managing pediatric patients, including those in various critical care situations.
• BP-certified and Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding Certification preferred or pending.
