Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in acute care provides essential support in delivering rehabilitative services to adult and geriatric patients. This role involves assisting licensed therapists in implementing patient treatment plans and ensuring optimal recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed therapists in evaluating patient needs and developing treatment plans.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatments accurately.
• Ensure safety and compliance with facility protocols during therapy sessions.
• Maintain clean and organized treatment areas to uphold hygiene standards.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, family members, and healthcare team members.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Physical Therapy Assistant license or pending approval with ETA 2-3 weeks.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in acute care settings.
• Be able to work a day shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility for float responsibilities.
• Meet travel compliance requirements, including submission of fingerprints and necessary documentation.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage adult and geriatric patient populations effectively.
• Previous travelers are eligible after a 1-year wait period; current and pending NM or Compact licenses accepted.
